Math Inequalities

This interactive Powerpoint presentation is a basic introduction to inequalities at the 6th-grade level. The presentation is designed like an animated comic book. The concepts are introduced and explained in speech and thought bubbles, as parts of conversations between cartoon characters. There are bubbles with possible responses. The student selects one possible answer. If it is correct, the teacher congratulates the student, and a sound effect of applause or a drumroll is triggered. If the response is incorrect, the teacher gives the correct response, with a short explanation, and the student has the opportunity to respond correctly again. There are three quizzes at the end of the presentation. Students select responses. If they are correct, a fun character tells them about their impressive responses. If they are wrong, there is a small sound, like a click or sweep, and the correct answer is posted on the top. The student can then respond correctly.
